If you’re like me, you’ve been spending more time than normal at home lately. While I hope you enjoy all of my content here, there’s no way I can say everything about content marketing (yet).

In all seriousness, there are many great content marketing websites out there. So, I wanted to put together a quick list of (in my opinion) the best content marketing blogs.

The blogs you’re going to learn about put forth top-notch content marketing efforts. Whether you’re just getting started in content marketing or consider yourself an expert in this form of digital marketing, you’ll find plenty to learn about from the blogs below.

1. HubSpot: My #1 Pick for the Best Content Marketing Blog

In the world of content marketing, HubSpot takes the top spot. Founded all the way back in 2004, HubSpot began as a company wanting to help other businesses with their marketing.

With all of their success and thousands of customers, HubSpot understands that not every company has a large budget for marketing (or any budget at all).

Fortunately, HubSpot offers lots of free services for those who are new to marketing, want to test out their services, or have no idea where to start.

HubSpot offers many free versions of its popular services, including a wide range of sales and marketing tools.

Speaking of free, HubSpot is my pick for the best content marketing blog to follow because this company offers a ton of helpful information. I know that I’ve spent a lot of time visiting HubSpot as I first started learning about digital and content marketing.

For instance, you might find one of HubSpot’s recent posts about how to start a blog helpful. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. HubSpot’s blog covers all sorts of topic, including:

  • Influencer marketing
  • Marketing automation
  • Video marketing
  • Email marketing
  • Lead generation
  • And, of course, creating a content marketing strategy!

2. Convince & Convert

convince blog

Before we go any further, I have to mention the company I would refer to as “The Godfather of Content Marketing.” Forgive me if that’s an out of date movie reference, but it’s a classic. The foundation of Convince & Convert began in 2008 from the mind of Jay Baer, someone who’s been an online marketer since 1993.

To put it another way, while I was learning addition in elementary school, Jay Baer was already a leader in the world of digital marketing. Baer continues his passion for online marketing with Convince & Convert.

To call this one of the best content marketing blogs is a serious understatement. The people at Convince & Convert offer a wealth of great content including a library’s worth of blog posts, podcasts, and other great content.

Whether this blog covers topics like search engine optimization or forming a content marketing strategy, every author goes in-depth while also not going too fast. I also recommend checking out the Convince & Convert podcast. At the time of this writing, this online marketing podcast has over 500 episodes!

social media

Don’t let the name fool, you’ll find out about much more than social media from visiting this website. Social Media Explorer is far and away a leader in this industry. And, once you visit this company’s blog, it’s easy to see why.

If an expert could write a book on digital marketing, I’d say the minds at Social Media Explorer could write a few encyclopedias on this subject. I’ve gained a ton of valuable insights from Social Media Explorer about social media, working through a pandemic, and so much more.

Seriously, you might be in the wrong industry if you can’t find something here of value.

11. Duct Tape Marketing

I seriously love the culture and values of this company. The idea behind this company’s name came when thinking about the most valuable tool in a toolbox. What is it? Duct tape, of course. What I like so much about this company is the idea that marketing doesn’t have to be expensive.

I’ve gasped like I saw a ghost when I’ve seen how expensive some companies in this industry are. You won’t get that with Duct Tape Marketing. The belief of this company is that businesses shouldn’t have to pay out the wazoo to market their companies, something I fully support!

By this point, you might be like “there’s no way I’m bookmarking another blog to read, dude.” I get that. Don’t worry, Duct Tape Marketing provides most of its content in audio form (podcasts).

12. David Meerman Scott

Another legendary name in the world of marketing, David Meerman Scott is another incredible blog to check out. This blog is a goldmine of content for all things related to marketing. However, I want to specifically mention all of David Meerman Scott’s topics about virtual work and events.

Something else I love about this blog is the way that Scott is able to take topics and turn them into, you know, a language that isn’t boring. There are far too many people in this industry that can’t grasp this important concept of content creation, keep things interesting.

Whether you’re new to content marketing or not, you’ll find plenty of amazing content to sink your teeth into here.

This company’s blog is organized to perfection, letting you easily find helpful content about a ton of topics. You can get help with social media marketing, inbound marketing, creating a content strategy, and about any other topic in the digital marketing world.

While reading Copyblogger’s blog, you can tell that this company knows how to create and manage a content strategy. Since this company also offers SEO services, you can also learn about keyword research, local SEO, and other ways of reaching the top of Google’s search results.

Another reason why I included this website in my list of the best content marketing blogs is for its real-life examples of companies crushing it in the marketing space.
